SFS Community Call - COP26 in Glasgow
Time & Location
About the Event
In 2021 COP26 - the UN’s Climate Change Conference - is being hosted in Glasgow, and we want to make sure that sustainable fashion (and textiles) is one of the top priorities during this opportunity to catalyse coordinated climate action in Scotland and worldwide. To do this, on August 26th (Thursday, 7.30-8.30pm GMT), we are hosting a special Community Call to connect and share what the #SustFashScotland community and ZWDO Collective are planning for COP26 in Scotland related to sustainable fashion and textiles. Guest speakers will present their upcoming events, activities and actions, and will be detailing how we can all get involved and support - with the potential for participants to collaborate on existing or new projects. After the event the SFS team will be promoting all events and actions widely and in a coordinated manner, to help the general public engage with sustainable fashion during COP26 and encourage delegates to recognise the inspiring and important work being undertaken by the fashion community in Scotland and worldwide. We want to make sure that sustainable fashion, the #SustFashScotland community and ZWDO Community are represented during COP26 across Glasgow, Scotland and more widely online. Join the event to find out how you can get involved and to help us amplify all the incredible actions. OPEN CALL: if you are planning a COP26 and would like to present it at the event (no more than 5 minutes) please get in touch with the SFS Team at firstname.lastname@example.org. - The SFS Community Call is held on the last Thursday of every month and provides a space to connect and discuss current topics within the #SustFashScotland community. Please be aware takeaways from the audio and video recording will be used in SFS communication. We may record part or all of the event for publication on our website. When signing up you will be given the option to have any contributions you make edited out (including your name, face and voice).
