001- High Waisted Trousers
Open Source - Zero Waste - Digital Sewing kit
High waisted trousers with two pleated back pockets.
This pattern is not conventional.
It was designed in 2018 by Mylène L'Orguilloux @milan_avjc with the first intention to provide alternatives for home sewers to better optimize fabric consumption and reduce the waste usually produced when cutting a garment. It therefore results in a rectangle jigsaw-like pattern where all the pieces fit together without producing any fabric scraps.
This sewing pattern is suitable for beginner sewers and above.
It comes with a sew-along video recorded in French - subtitles in english.
Before downloading the digital kit, you can watch the video tutorial on youtube.
This digital kit is not size inclusive as it only comes in 5 sizes. To choose the one that will fit you best, please refer to the hips measurements below.
Emma (the model) wears a size 38.
We aim to revise this pattern and develop a wider size range. Hopefully this will be possible in 2022.
